What is a Badass Creative?

#BadassCreatives are artists, makers, and creative entrepreneurs. We are supporters of indie business and the handmade economy.

We are the weird ones. We embrace our weird, knowing that to feel “weird” is actually pretty normal.

#BadassCreatives stand for love, empathy, diversity, and equality. We are united in the belief that all human beings want & need to belong and feel included.

We believe that art, creativity, community, and kindness can change the world.

Curiosity

We are all learning, growing, and unlearning. We may make mistakes, but when we know better, we try to do better.

We aim to approach new experiences and people from a mindset of curiosity and openness.

We believe that curiosity, vulnerability, and sharing our stories can bring us closer together.

Compassion

We cultivate kindness and compassion.

We understand that it’s not always easy to be kind or compassionate, but we strive to practice kindness and compassion with ourselves and others.

We believe that by helping other people to feel seen, heard, understood, and included, we can also create a deeper sense of belonging and a better life for ourselves.

Authenticity

Everyone has different lived experiences and different styles of learning, thinking, and working.

We respect each other’s authentic lived experiences. We strive to create a world where it is safe for everyone to show up as their full authentic selves. That said, even as we work towards a more affirming world, we understand that what we consider welcoming or inclusive may not feel safe for everyone. Our goal is to develop a supportive and inclusive community.

We are creating businesses that are aligned with our authentic individual values. As creative business owners, we each get to design a life and business that is right for us and aligns with our own personal needs and priorities.

Action

We strive to use inclusive and conscious language that respects and empowers other people. We don't tolerate or support hate speech or the use of discriminatory language and/or images/GIFs.

We celebrate our wins & successes with each other, but as peers, it's not appropriate to push your products on us. No spam or self-promotion.

We understand that we're all human, and we don't know what we don't know. If necessary, we try to call in members of our community to bring attention to harmful words or behavior, so that they may learn. If a pattern of inappropriate or harmful behavior continues, action will be taken to remove or block that participant.

Being part of a community requires mutual trust. What's shared in any Badass Creatives Marketing Accelerator private group discussions should stay in the group.
